Welcome to the Polar Ice House of Wake Forest

Located within the Factory Shopping complex on South Main St. in Wake Forest NC, The Polar Ice House offers two NHL regulation ice rinks with all the bells and whistles.  Our rinks are complete with light and sound systems for exciting Public Skate sessions, Open Hockey, League play, and flexible Freestyle figure skating sessions.

We also offer year-round track-out and summer camp programs focused on athletic activities and child development in a peer group atmosphere.

Visit MVP Sportsfactory, our sister site also within the Factory, for all of your indoor soccer, basketball, volleyball, and blastball needs!

Coffee Club

All adult skaters (18+) are welcome to join us Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00a-12:00p for a specially discounted hour of freestyle.

$10 includes hour of ice time, skate rental, and a free cup of coffee or any other drink from our snack bar.

Hockey Basics 1-4 now offered on Sunday evenings

We are now offering our popular Hockey Basics classes on Sunday evenings starting with the March/April Learn-to-Skate semester.

Hockey Basics 1 and 2 will be offered at 5:15pm

Hockey Basics 3 and 4 will be offered at 5:45pm

$135 for 9 weeks of 30 minute lessons which runs:
March 9, 16, 23, 30, April 6, 13, 20, 27, May 4

Program includes rental skates and 9 public skate sessions (expires 5/5/14)

$5 early enrollment discount (deadline 3/1/14)

$10 sibling discount

Important Air Quality Notice

There is nothing more important to us than the safety of our guests and employees. This facility has continuous fresh air ventilated into the ice rinks. We employ electronic carbon monoxide detectors that, if an issue arises, will alert our operations personnel and activate the fresh air purge system. The ice resurfacers are operated with clean burning fuel and exhausted through a catalytic converter. We regularly maintain the ice resurfacers to ensure that they are in good working order in accordance with the highest safety standards.
